Transition Age Youth and Young Adult
MDHHS continues to work to improve the service array for Transition Age Youth and Young Adults (TAYYA). TAYYA are defined as individuals in the age range of 16-25 years old. This developmental stage can prove to be difficult to navigate, as well as a vulnerable period for the onset of serious mental illness. By providing TAYYA with services and supports that are appealing and developmentally appropriate, there is a higher likelihood of engagement and improvement in functioning.
