Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Initiative (FASD) - SED/NDD

The Children’s FASD System of Care (Children’s FASD SoC) provides training to improve children’s mental health providers’ understanding of FASD and its impact on families with a child with prenatal alcohol exposure. Specifically, the Children’s FASD SoC provides training in FASD knowledge, the use of a standardized FASD screening and assessment protocol for Community Mental Health Services Programs (CMHSP) and their network providers as part of the FASD System of Care, and interventions to help families with a child with a probable FASD.

The initiative works with the providers in the implementation of selected evidence-based and evidence-informed programs for clinical staff to assist families with children with a probable FASD at different developmental stages (young children, school-aged children, and adolescents).
